How Much Is My Old Dodge Car Worth?

After more than 100 years in business, the Dodge brand has a long and storied history. The brand has produced many millions of cars over the years, many of which are still on the road, but plenty that are just sitting around rusting. If your old Dodge falls in the latter category, it might be time to think about selling it.

RemoveMyClunker offers an alternative to the junkyard. We buy old Dodge vehicles, pick them up and pay cash on the spot -- unlike the junkyard, which will charge you to take the vehicle and then collect additional profits from the scrap metal or parts. Our service allows you to get a free online quote without providing any personal information. You decide if the price is fair, then contact us.

About the Dodge Brand

Dodge has long been known for building muscle cars. The cars and SUVs are best known for their power and performance. The company’s most famous models date back to the 60s and 70s era, but the brand has been producing cars for more than more than 100 years and continues to reinvent itself today.

The company was founded in 1900 as a parts supplier and assembler for other American car companies. It began producing vehicles under its own name in 1915, and it was sold to Chrysler Corp. in 1928. On Jan. 1, 2014, Chrysler became a fully-owned subsidiary of Italian automaker Fiat, which plans to return to the height of Dodge’s success by reinventing it as an even more muscular brand.

Dodge performed fairly well in pre-World War II years, but sales spiked after the war, as they did for many American carmakers. Dodge improved its styling and introduced its first V8 engine. Throughout the 60s and early 70s, Dodge continued to increase the power of its engines and focus on creating high-performance, full-size cars. But the oil crisis made these cars less desirable, leading Dodge to start building smaller and more efficient vehicles. The company eventually branched out in other ways, creating successful lines of minivans, SUVs and performance sedans. One of the most popular models, the Charger, is commonly used as a police vehicle.

Current models produced, in addition to the Charger, include the Avenger, Challenger, Dart, Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey.

How Much Will I Make for My Old Dodge?

Newer vehicles, of course, aren’t good candidates for our service. However, a wide variety of older models can be purchased for cash. The car doesn’t have to be in good condition -- in fact, it doesn’t even have to be in working condition.

Popular Dodge models that we purchase include: Avenger, Caravan, Colt, Dakota trucks, Dart, Durango, Intrepid, Neon, RAM trucks, Spirit, Stealth and Stratus. However, this is not a comprehensive list. Check with us if you’re unsure by calling or filling out the online quote request, which lists all the models we accept.

Prices vary based on the model, age and condition of the car. Here are some examples of what we’ve paid recent customers for their clunkers:

  • 1983 Colt 2-door hatchback (2 door): $190
  • 1993 Caravan ES minivan: $250
  • 1991 Dodge Dakota extended cab truck: $270
  • 1989 Aries 4-door sedan: $190
  • 1996 Neon sedan: $190
